Loving Your Workouts
Whether it’s cardio or leg day, everyone has that “least favorite” workout. One part of the gym that they find on the bottom of their list. But does it have to be that way?
We want you to love every single workout you get in from week to week. So how do we do it? Variety.
There are lots of creative ways to mix up cardio for example. Instead of the treadmill, plan a session outside, or go for an intermediate level hike that will get your blood pumping. Even ask a trainer to show you a cardio circuit you can do outside at a local park, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. There are also circuit classes, such as cycling, and classes that blast salsa to help you bust a move while breaking a sweat. The same is true for leg day.
Games Go a Long Way
Friendly competition with a friend who works out with you can be stellar motivation. This comes in many shapes and sizes, and even something as simple as a friendly game of work out bingo can awaken your competitive spirit all for your advantage. Who will check off leg day first? Also, asking friends to share their playlists can make your workouts more fun, as it introduces you to something new and different.
